Works great – I have the ring elite doorbell and wanted to put cameras on my driveway / path to side door. Because my router is in a room above my garage it was easy to run Cat6 cable. I also like that the cable powers the camera while eliminating the need for connecting it to wifi.

An excellent ecosystem that only needs 4K and Apple HomeKit to be darn near perfect! – I’m thrilled that Ring offers a PoE Ethernet-enabled camera. This is a huge benefit to people who run multiple or remote cameras, because PoE simplifies providing both power and a stable hardwired Internet connection to devices. These cameras get their power from either the provided PoE Ethernet injector or from your PoE router. Not only that, you can choose whether they communicate over Ethernet or WiFi—you have options here, which is great. I run 6 Ring cameras, four of which use PoE, and this helps keep my cameras stable, fast, and not contesting my WiFi network with their video recordings and frequent snapshots.

Works well but storage plan expensive – Installation of this poe camera was easy but took a lot of time to determine best location to get required view (the view of room I needed). Once installed camera is flawless and I’m very happy with it – I did not want wireless or battery so this was a good alternative. What I don’t like is the storage plan which just seems overly expensive so I’ve opted to not use that plan. Hoping alternatives present themselves soon.

Incredible Camera, Extremely Stable – I have several Ring cameras and a Ring security system I love the system. All of my cameras work really well and they are hard wired for power. We have them connected over Wi-Fi and they are about 98% reliable. The issue is not with the cameras but with my wireless. I have a lot, of devices in my house using wi-fi which can put a strain on the cameras.

Not sure why these are so hard to find – I’ve been stalking Amazon waiting for this to become available. I just bought two. Already had two that work great. Highly recommend the POE if you can find them. They hook right up with no issues. Never have to worry about batteries or wifi. Great picture, easy to link to the app, clear sound through the speaker and microphone. Excellent person detection and the ability to create fences for areas of motion.
