Light Color is too cool, but great camera! – I love the Wyze cameras, their interface, their price, and their video quality. Super easy to use.

Wyze wired the only way to go – Wyse wired cameras are trouble free as far as maintaining connection and use with Alexa vs the wireless Wyze camera which are a joke. This camera and floodlight works very well, just as you would hope. The only challenge is installation. The mounting screws are too long. Either you drill and tap the enclosure to take the length of the screws or buy shorter 3/8″ long 10-24 screws. You choose.

Good but buggy – First of all i’d just like to say the picture quality and low light sensitivity are very good. The light is also very bright and the motion detection is pretty sensitive. The downside is it doesn’t always send me alerts. it did in the beginning, but now i’m getting no motion alerts. also I had quite a bit of trouble with the initial setup. the camera WOULD NOT scan the QR code off my phone no matter what I did. I recommend setting up and updating the camera before you install it. I had to end up bringing it back inside and scanning the QR code off my computer screen. Stability is an issue too, the camera randomly goes offline but that could be due to my wifi, though I know another person who has the same floodlight/camera further away than I have mine and his works fine. The app can be a little wonky and unresponsive at times too. Not sure if it’s connectivity issues or the app itself. Overall i’d say this is a good product but the bugs are annoying.

Awesome Light/Good Camera BUT I really don’t understand the whole subscription thing – I bought two of these thinking that I could get away with not having to pay a monthly subscription however, to see the full benefits of these you do need to actually buy some sort of a subscription. Through doing some research online I did find a loophole as the company does make a video that tells you, even though they say you need to buy a subscription you can go on and get their basic plan and then put in that you don’t want to pay anything as the monthly premium is just a suggestion, however doing this does not give you the full benefits of detection on this camera. So far the detection and notifications have been a little wonky. Sometimes it detects a shadow from the sun even when I have it on low detection and other times somebody walks right past the path of the camera and it doesn’t notice a thing. Also notifications sometimes will come to my phone after somebody walks in my house. (Family members but you can imagine if they weren’t…) ultimately, I may be being a little harsh on these things honestly for the money it’s still pretty impressive what they can do. I can monitor what’s going on outside from my phone from anywhere as well as talk through these and turn a siren on and the night vision is pretty nice that you couldn’t even see anything so there are some definite pluses to it. It’s just a lot to ask out of a surveillance camera, I think at this price point.

Pretty good but has some bugs. – Easy to install and set up with the Wyze app. I have three v3 cameras and they work without a problem. But this flood light takes itself off line every now and then. And the only way to reconnect to the network is to turn the power off and then on and it reconnects just fine. But for a security device it is a real negative.

Great but one flaw. – High quality night vision, high resolution video etc. excellent motion detection. Bright led lights. This thing works great…. Except when the wyze servers are down the ir motion sensor doesn’t even trigger the light. I understand the camera detection is off but there’s no reason to have zero motion light unless you’re connected to the internet and wyze. This is a huge security and safety issue. The bare minimum should be that the motion ir light detection can turn the lights on independently of the internet server connected camera. I bought this to replace a 14 year old regular motion detector floodlight. The old floodlight never failed to turn on the lights with motion until it failed from age. It’s mounted up high in the gable of my garage snd im thinking of putting a standard motion floodlight back up as a fail safe measure when wyze is offline and just putting the Wyze floodlight in proximity. Wyze needs to address this. It’s counterintuitive to its purpose. I like wyze products and services and understand the concept of connectivity but this specific issue is obviously an oversight.

Well worth the investment – Got this for my driveway area, wiring it was very easy and straightforward, setting up app and linking to Wi-Fi was a snap and it was up and running in no time. The video quality is excellent was very impressed and it comes with many settings that u can adapt to your personal needs. Only had it for a few months so can’t comment on durability but so far has worked flawlessly. I had no incentive from company to write this I just like to write honest reviews for good products, definitely a good purchase
