Great for Beginners – I have recently started an Etsy shop and have been looking to improve my social media presence as a way to attract more attention to my shop, and this camera is so helpful in capturing the processes I take. It is nice to be able to put the camera on a tripod, or on the counter, and just press record. The remote is also helpful so I don’t have to get up everytime I want to start or stop a video – I just keep the remote by me and am able to control the camera, even if it’s on the other side of the room. I also like the microphone because it controls sounds when I’m outside – it’s nice to be able to cut out the wind sounds that usually take over a video. I definitely recommend for beginners – it’s easy to use and compact enough to take you wherever you go.

It is what it is – Overall for satisfaction a one star. I should have done more research before purchasing. This camera is good for what it is; off brand so that is reflected in the $89 price tag. Records and takes pictures just fine, sound is a little muffled even with the mic plugged in. Honestly though if you have a iphone or android you would be better off using that to record/take pictures. I purchased to use for workout and youtube videos but the quality is just not there.. 8 megapixels total I believe it was. Besides there are apps you can use on a phone to instantly edit videos and add music too. However this camera does have its place it would be a great camera to give a youngster just getting into the recording/photo world as it is very lightweight and functional or one to take hiking. Definitely an overpriced knock-off of something that was probably nice… – Feels very cheap. Plastic feels weak/brittle. Picture quality is the exact same as a camera I purchased for my daughter 8 years ago, for $15 at Wal Mart. Absolutely not, in any way, HD or 1080p, at all. Charging system for the batteries is… HHHHWHACK; note the caps and the hard H sound at the start of the word. Videos and pictures are heavily blued, even with a “blue filter” maxed out. Also has a strange bend at the left and right edges of the video, so that if you rotate the camera 90° and film your face, you can watch your hairline run to the top of your head as your forehead asserts it’s dominance as the new supreme ruler of your face, which you may or may not like. The remote gets four stars because it works when you press the buttons. Good job, team! You nailed that part! And the user manual is 99.7% useless, as the broken English offers no assistance other than to know what the name of each button is, but the overall simplicity makes it relatively easy to figure out. Price shouldn’t be more than $35 MAX!

Correcting my Previous Review re: Poor Sound Quality – I am correcting my previous review. The poor sound quality was my mistake. User error! I realized that I needed to connect the microphone to the camera with the cable. (Duh!) apparently, I was using just the camera audio alone without microphone. If you want good audio, you must use this big microphone. Sound quality is better and I am satisfied with it. Biggest issue is figuring out downloading videos to a MacBook. They do not go to my video file so have to go searching for them and can only access them when camera is plugged in to computer. Would love to know the appropriate way to handle this. No instructions provided, of course. Overall, it is okay for the money.
