A bit dimmer than expected – Not really bright enough for the job and not the best motion detector. Had to get about 20 feet away before the light came on then I was disappointed in the intensity of the light. Solar panel you;d be hard to get to face the sun, had to basically rebuild it.

Working fine for two years in a shaded area – I installed these in a forested gate entry to our property. One facing west, one east, each side of our driveway. I thought they might not get enough sun, but they do and come on nice and bright every time we enter at night. I just bought a second pair so i thought i would write a review as i have used them for years. I use them as decoys for our real camera which is better hidden.

Product is so well made I thought they sent the real thing, nothing cheap about these cameras. – If you have installed real video cameras, you will know these only lack the optics and video card. Easy to install and crack heads can see right away they are the real thing. I’ve had the cheap plastic silver ones and there is no comparison.

Great Inexpensive Security Tool – We ordered these to help provide additional security on our front porch and facing a side gate that’s adjacent to a busy street. These fake cameras work really well. Just after sunset, red lights appear in the lens area, making it obvious even from a distance that what appear to be real cameras are active. And when anyone comes within about 30’ of the device, a very bright light comes on…definitely a deterrent for anyone who shouldn’t be there. One of the dummy cameras quit working after a few weeks, so we contacted Techage Customer Service through the email address shown on the Amazon page. We were very impressed at how quickly we received a response (from Wincy), and more importantly, how accommodating he was. He immediately arranged for a replacement to be sent, which we received just a couple of days later. Excellent customer support! The fact that these devices are solar-powered is a big plus for us, as each one is installed in a spot with a very spotty internet connection. They work well even at the end of a totally cloudy day. We’re very happy with this purchase as these fake cameras have enhanced our security inexpensively, and were very easy to install (just 4 screws). And again, we’re very impressed with the customer service provided by Wincy.

return policy and replacement is excellent – Return policy and Replacement is Excellent. I have yet to be able to put up the replacement Camera, as my handyman is sick. None of the cameras have the red light working thus far. But the motion light works wonderful, in full sun, not so well in limited sun. Solar is better than battery, and that is why I liked this one. The Light is very bright. Thumbs up !!! Just make sure it works and if not happy, the seller, will work with a replacement.

Working out great for me. – I’m using these in a spot where they don’t even get direct sunlight, only indirect, and they’re working just fine. They detect any motion and turn on and are just bright enough. And they do look like cameras for that touch of security.

I think they will do the job as a deterrent. The two “antennas” are key. Since I’ve mounted them on our property away from the house they don’t look as if they could be hard-wired.

The first set of cameras (we ordered 4x) worked very well for a couple of months and then 3x of them stopped working altogether. We reached out to customer service via the Amazon app and immediately got a response and a new set of cameras were sent out without question. The new set of cameras work very well. The motion detector light comes on and is surprisingly bright. We hope this helps to deter critters and pedestrians alike.
