Great picture , somewhat troubling set up – When we first received the camera we immediately began to set it up with our WiFi. We did have some issues setting it up and getting it to connect. However, after we did get it set up the picture quality is great , as well as, sound and motion detection. Pleased with purchase.

Easy to connect – This device was very easy to connect to my WIFI although I did have trouble getting it to focus on the entire door. It would only show the top half and the controls were not that easy to manipulate. In addition, I had to purchase a socket extender so that the light cover did not interfere with the camera.

Works well, but one may have issues after installation. – Removed one piece of glass in lamp assembly. The infrared and such, depending on configuration would reflect back to camera. Wouldn’t pick up alerts, motion effected, image distortion, clarity, Weird stuff. With camera focusing through piece of glass, one going to have imaging issues. Did use an extender for socket, so camera hung below fixture, but looked a bit odd and wouldn’t be as protected from stormy rains, and be more obvious to someone checking out house. So removing on glass panel, did the trick.

Good substitute for a wired system. – Overall good. Basically requires being suspended from socket above the area of coverage. The vertical gimbal does not move enough to elevate it (or lower it if used socket on bottom from a lamp for example) to horizontal unless placed above the field of view. Also will collect water and cease functioning if not suspended outdoors. However, once thoroughly dried out, it worked again.

Out doors would be a more suitable area because of the flood light and blaring horn/alarm which is a huge deterrent for wild animals or sneaky people in the wrong area. The only thing you have to do is purchase cloud space if you want video recording time which is a yearly subscription. The recording length is about 5 to 7 seconds which I would give 3 stars for the amount of money you pay for annual cloud subscription.
