The ubnit would not connect with my EiFi. Wanted because of waterproof aspect. – Could not get unit to connect to my WiFi. Really wanted it because of the waterproof aspect. I will have to return it and continue using the original purchase of Symynelec 355 that nut contain the waterproof feature but did connect to the WiFi.

Great product but too big – I tried this product as I was looking for and alternate security camera for our new home. I have had Nest in the past which was ok but after awhile starts to act up and its pricey. I tested this bulb cam and was very impressed (the tracking could use some work better calibration) the picture quality was super clear even my nest did not show picture quality this good. My only issue is it is to big, I wanted to place it out front but it would not fit in the sconces on the garage. So I purchased larger sconces from amazon and it would not fit in them as well. One of the pluses of having a security camera is that it is discreet, this camera is big bold and you can see it a mile away. That’s my only negative about this product.

Know what your going to use it for. – I bought this so I could see whats going on outside my home when I am not around. Its not going to replace a 300+ dollar security system so if thats what you want your not going to be happy. But I really like it, for what it is it works great. I dont pay for the cloud storage but I can view the recordings from my phone and if I need to save it I can. Out of the box was a pretty simple install. Make sure your not trying to connect to 5g if you have a dual frequency router and be prepared to power it down and back up a time or 2 so that it connects to the correct frequency. Customer Service is good just email they respond in a day or 2. I used customer service because I am not that tech savy and had a hard time figuring out how to view and save videos from the SD card. (you cannot just pull the card and look at the videos) I gave motion detection 3 stars but thats probably because I am still playing with the settings. It does record sound and motion so thats pretty cool. For about 50 bucks its pretty neat and it is useful. Over all I really like it.
