Ok – Had the hardest time finding the app to get this setup!!! There were NO DIRECTIONS in the box! Only thing was a card to have you go to some website to get instructions….why aren’t the directions with the camera instead of down loading an app for instructions! Took me forever setting it up! It was alot of work!!

Everything working great , then for no reason was logged out! – I have two cameras , they have been installed and working fine so far two months now, then was logged out of app and support was unable to help , I was ready to return these Cameras , then I remembered my wife had the app on her phone and was working fine , after returning and looking at log on choices on my phone it showed “ log on with Amazon “ or apple , I logged on with apple and it came on instantly , so keep this in mind if this happens to you , all is good !

Solar PTZ camera is a great value for a feature loaded security camera – I already have 3 of the HOSAFE HX-2PT1 PTZ wired security cameras and found their pan, tilt and zoom feature indispensable for monitoring and capturing the areas around my house. Unfortunately, there were still areas beyond the reach of electric outlets. So when HOSAFE announced the solar version, RBX-S40, I jumped on it. They have an excellent installation tutorial on YouTube. Search for “HOSAFE RBX-S40 TUTORIAL”. My review highlights some minor differences between the tutorial and what I found. Pic6-I received everything expected except for a screwdriver. I got 8 sets of screws and anchors instead of 6. Pic2 & 4-Instead of a long power cable from the solar panel to the camera, I got an extension cable with a cable connector. Pic1 & 5-to access the micro-USB port and on/off switch, flip open the right side of the rubber cover. A red indicator next to the switch lights up. In addition to the solar panel, you can charge the camera with any 5v charger and micro-USB cable. NOTE: it uses the UBOX app instead of CamHipro for the HX-2PT1. I don’t think Alexa and Google Assistant are supported (yet?). But still an awesome product and I’m very happy with the purchase.

Need UBox – After 2 hrs on tech support , no one was able to get this camera to communicate with IPhones. I contacted T-Mobile for them to unlock something in settings. I contacted the company to learn that you needed the ubox app. Directions would’ve been very helpful.

Been testing it for a few days now and I’m now able to see when I get my Amazon deliveries, people walking by, etc. The only thing I do not like is that the wifi connection has to be 2.4ghz. I had to activate the 2.4ghz wifi connection to get the camera to work. 5ghz would be great in the future.

The night vision is great, you can adjust the sensitivity, how long you want to record, and it’s durable. I’m thinking of buying another one but we’ll see. Looking at your property from hundreds of miles away is an ease. Great product.
