Great little cam- like it much better than I expected I would. – I bought this to use as a nanny cam for my disabled elderly mother (hard-headed extremely independent elderly mother I should say) Previously I used a little Wyze Cam, which I loved, but it burned up in a house fire so when replacing it I decided I needed a few more features and this camera had those features – the spotlight priceless! you wouldn’t think spotlight would be beneficial indoors but actually it works terrific in a little 28 ft travel trailer. When my mom moves around at night the spotlight comes on ( we have it blocked from blinding her) and she can get a drink of water or go to the bathroom without having to fumble for a light switch or anything. also the speaker function… again simply priceless we don’t use it very often but it’s nice to have. It is an outdoor camera and I did get some thread tape and waterproof my connection- I don’t use the ethernet connector because I’m out in the middle of nowhere and just have my mobile data hotspot for Internet, but it works great. I don’t use it outside but I CAN. instead of mounting it to one location it’s mounted it to a magnet and then I installed a few magnet plate hangers in several locations so that all I got to do is have a plug in and Viola! I have a portable camera. Set up and activation- easy-peasy, the storage plan allows me to go online and review activities but I really haven’t had to use that much which is good but I do appreciate having the ability to go look and see the whole incident if I missed it live. And I do have a SD card in it just for backup purposes. I had my concerns about security as always with any kind of wireless device but actually I feel like it’s pretty secure. For one thing it’s not collecting any kind of damaging data unless somebody gets their kicks from watching an old woman go to the bathroom…. my brother tried to connect to the camera with his phone, but he couldn’t until I enabled the share feature. Again super easy process. So I feel reasonably secure that just anybody can’t hack in. Again, not that they’re going to get anything from it but you know it’s the principal LOL. Anyway for the price which was awesome, even with the $15 for the storage, I feel like I definitely am getting my money’s worth it hadn’t been that long just a couple months but I’ve had zero problems so far And I really couldn’t be happier. (FYI I’m using voice to text so I hope there ain’t nothing weird in there I tried to catch it but you know bear with me if I sound like an idiot)

Good entry level outdoor camera – High quality video and photos. It does a pretty good job with motion detection but sometimes all I see are moths flying around at night. However, it pretty much always picks up what’s going on out on the street when cars drive by, which is good. The quality of the photos and videos is good and easy to see what is going on. The app is easy to use and has lots of customization features. Overall a good entry level camera if you don’t want to deal with doorbells. Only drawbacks are the short power cord and the fact that you have to put holes in stuff to mount it. But no way around that really.
