I’m glad it wasn’t more difficult to set up – Ok first off after reading the other comments it was difficult to understand the power situation so here it is. There’s a mini usb hole in the back of the camera. You plug one end of the power cord right into the camera. The other end is a regular USB plug that you’d plug into an adapter (not supplied) and plug that right into regular home outlet. You can sit the camera on a counter by screwing it into the wall mount ‘bracket’. It has a flat end.

I’m glad it wasn’t more difficult to set up – Ok first off after reading the other comments it was difficult to understand the power situation so here it is. There’s a mini usb hole in the back of the camera. You plug one end of the power cord right into the camera. The other end is a regular USB plug that you’d plug into an adapter (not supplied) and plug that right into regular home outlet. You can sit the camera on a counter by screwing it into the wall mount ‘bracket’. It has a flat end.

Much Improved Camera since 2019 – I have owned 3 of these (Argus 2 w Solar Panel) since 2019. All have stopped detecting motion in 2 years. They still work as remote view cameras and I still can manually record if needed. Having said that for the price I like them. All cameras on the market today have their issues. I think these new ones that I purchased 11/2022 are better. Their mounting system is much better and the camera lens have improved. Detection also seems to be better, a lot less false alarms. They are easy to set up and the app works pretty well. 4 Stars overall – is for the motion detection part that stops working in 2 + years , and that means it cannot record automatically. This is partially due to the wind moving branches and me working in the yard and constantly triggering it unnecessarily. Now I know to disable motion detection if I expect a lot of common traffic in the area to save the detector.

One of the 2 cameras battery is only charging up to 98% so it’s lost some efficiency, not a big deal for me after 7 months of use. The quality of the picture is good for me, I’m not trying to read license plates from 50+feet away. As expected, there is morning dew on the outside of the lenses in the morning but quickly clears up as the sun comes up. The cameras are setup between 20-40 feet from my Wi-Fi router, going through drywall and brick, the signal works at that distance fine. As a cordless option without monthly fee’s, I would recommend this camera.
