Happy with it for the $80 deal price – The sunny daytime footage is very clear. The fps is fine enough. Depending on the angle and light, license plates can be read from about 40 ft away. The camera does a much better job capturing still objects. Moving objects can get a little blurring depending on the light as a result of the camera’s post processing (it can’t be changed)

5 stars because of the bang for the buck and it’s real good a human detection – I installed this where I want to know if people enter the area and it’s at the end of my driveway by a busy 35 mph limit road. It points at the road where there are probably more than a thousand cars a day. The human detection, at the sensitivity level I have it, detects people approx. 75 feet away, which is good. It will also pick up people on motorcycles and pictures of people on big trucks. I can deal with that because there are only about 8 or 12 motorcycles a day on my road. I set the email system to only send me people alerts. With my other cameras, If I am sleeping and I get an alert on the 822 then I get an alert on a camera closer to my front door, I will be concerned. However, that has not happened. Some infrequent times, at my mid-level sensitivity setting, it will detect nighttime rain as people, but I can live with that. I still haven’t tried tweaking the people detection sensitivity much more. I’d rather deal with a small number of false alerts than risk missing an important event.
