Great option for no wifi! – We got this camera for our construction site (new home) since we don’t have power or wifi yet. We got a cheap data plan through mint mobile, which was easy to activate and set up with the camera. The solar panel works great, and we haven’t had any issues with the battery staying charged. The motion detection isn’t the greatest. Sometimes it triggers and records when we can’t see anything there, and sometimes it misses big things. It seems that the distance the motion detection can reach is unreliable. Sometimes it will catch a car driving on the next driveway over (2+ acres away), but sometimes it misses a delivery coming to our site (100 yards from the camera). Overall, we’re happy to be able to check in real-time with the site and see what’s happening live. I would not recommend this camera if you have wifi capability, because I think there are much better options. Our options were limited because we needed cellular capability, so for that reason we’re satisfied.

Great picture quality – Overall, I like these cameras and they do a great job in the area we need them. The downside is that you can’t zoom/pan/tilt and the setup (unless you use the phone app) was pretty tedious. For many reasons we didn’t want to use the phone app, and you pretty much have to in order to complete the setup. It remains to be seen how well the battery and solar panels will hold up. But right now, with heavy use, the battery is always full even in wet and dark weather.

Nicely-engineered standalone 4G wireless security camera – I must confess, I am delighted with this camera. It is a nicely engineered camera which (so far at least) has done exactly what I wanted. I bought one, tested it, was quite impressed, and have purchased two more.
