***Five Star Review? Buyer Should Have Serious Doubts About Buying From Reolink – Leaving five stars because most people only look at the great reviews…so here is a more rounded review that should give everyone pause before they buy.

Good while it lasted – It was good for being able to monitor away from a power source. It quit charging and I delayed climbing up the pole to get it down and see what the issue was. I just assumed maybe the trees grew and started blocking the solar. When I finally did get up there and move it a few days it would charge to 20%, brought it inside to charge via cord. It is flashing orange and green and won’t charge anymore. It’s a shame the battery is irreplaceable. I hate to throw away a perfectly good camera. I ordered a newer version before I realized that it was more than a placement or wifi issue. I’ll see how long that lasts. I just cancelled an order for additional solar Reolinks though. I purchased some blink cameras instead. When I purchased this reolink I had very slow dsl century link and could only run one camera so one that had ptz made sense. I did not use that feature as much as I thought I would. Now I have starlink and can have multiple cameras. The price of blink on special will let me buy many blinks to cover the areas the ptz used to. The blinks I’ve had about a week but so far I like them. The subscription is more than Reolink but still a great deal considering unlimited cameras, extended warranty with the plus and you can have multiple systems under one account for that price. The one factor that could make Reolink better for someone is that it does have a local storage option. You would have to manually remove the card to check it though if you didn’t have wifi. Blinks do too but they require the module and wifi for that.
