Having the large lens makes the camera awkward to use. The lens cap falls off. – The camera is awkward to use when on trips. If I keep it out of the case it takes extra time to get the shot. If i carry the camera around my neck, while moving around the lens cap keeps falling off. I like being able to use the telescoping lens but it is bulkier than my previous camera was while traveling.

Poor instructions – I bought this for my husband. It’s a great bundle. His only complaint was that the instructions that came with it were poor. He had to go out on the internet and down load the users manual.

A simple P&S camera with some DSLR tacked on to it – Comparing this to my 12 year-old Panasonic Lumix ZS3 this PIXPRO is replacing: The PIXPRO is an interesting cross between a P&S and a full DSLR camera, sharing features of both. On the P&S side, features are rather simplistic and limited (even more so than my ZS3). Same AF, photo effects and scene options as my ZS3 (funny how nothing’s changed in 12 years). No way to customize sounds or turn off the LCD screen auto-dimming which I find annoying. Controls are pretty intuitive and easy to get use to. One feature I miss from my ZS3 is during preview of the pic you just took you can’t scroll through past photos. While the screen on the PIXPRO is bigger than that of my ZS3 the font they use isn’t as big so reading the display info on the PIXPRO is much more difficult for me.

Good – It’s a good camera for beginners, however, it doesn’t like to focus when you zoom. I was trying to get a picture of a beetle and it would not focus on the beetle. Great for photos including fog and landscape though.

Came With A Lotta Stuff – I found better prices for the camera elsewhere, but this came with so much STUFF that it was a good deal. I have the same issue with this camera that I’ve had with other Kodaks–it takes fine, not great, photos, the zoom toggle tends to get stuck, so it zooms all the way in when you only need a little zoom. Also, it takes forever to start up, which has caused me to miss pictures. But it’s fine, easy to use, and I don’t regret buying it, even though I do hope to get a better camera one of these days. But it’s fine.
