This is my 3rd Tough camera and not disappointed – This is my third Stylus Tough camera. The first one locked up on the 2nd day of vacation, after about 5 years of rough use. The second one has been through a lot (vacation to LegoLand and Yellowstone each filled 2 8gb sd cards!) and still works, but starting to occassionally give me a hard time. I decided that I wanted another one. New and improved for sure! Still have to finish reading through the guide that I printed most of it out to read at my leasure. I haven’t dunked this camera into water yet, but the water proof use is the main reason I bought it again. Not having to deal with some type of housing makes use so much easier. The seller added a lot of extras, including a plug into a wall outlet battery charger and extra batteries. YEA!! Since I’ve been using the cable and plugging the camera directly into my laptop when transferrring pictures, I haven’t had to remove the battery to charge it. But I did use it to charge one of the extra batteries. The pictures are so crisp! It is taking me a little more time to understand all the settings. The one feature I miss on this version is the settings for pet lovers: the auto feature that would take pictures of your cat (or dog) as soon as the camera locked onto their faces. It made getting cute kitty pictures so much easier. Will definitely keep the old one as long as possilbe for this one feature. If this one lasts as long as the second one, still working, it will be another 10 yrs or so before I’ll be looking at another camers. Possible that this will be the last one I ever buy.

The camera is fantastic – our 2nd one. But the bundle, not so much… – The Olympus camera is great. I bought another one so both of us could take pictures when we go snorkeling. But this bundle is pretty much junk. The SD card had an error right away. Makes me think it’s not a real Sandisk card. Replaced it with a heavy duty card I’ve had for years. The “float” is enough to actually float the camera. Lot of good that does. The extra batteries last a fraction of the time that the Olympus ones do. To the point we just don’t use them. What good is a spare battery when you and the camera and all of your stuff is wet with salt water? I’m not opening up the camera to change batteries. So, they went into the trash. The charger is a typical cheap unreliable charger – it wouldn’t even stay in the outlet. We just used the supplied cable to charge the battery via the camera. We kept the case/bag. Nothing special. Threw the rest of the bundle away. Nothing beyond the camera in the bundle is worth any money at all.

Mine leaked in the lens compartment, one month old, 3 dives. – After snorkeling, I noticed some water/air bubbles behind the lens. I had used this camera maybe three dives in total. Returned camera, they couldn’t repair, and they issued refund promptly. I had purchased the insurance. My friend has the exact same camera and has fantastic results. Might replace, not in love with it.

TG-6 is great; this package is mediocre (but the 2 extra batteries are nice) – The Olympus TG-6 is great, and there’s a reason it’s on every “top 10 waterproof cameras in 2022” list. So about /this package/ specifically… it’s currently cheaper than buying the camera alone, so it’s worth buying for that reason alone. It does come with 3 batteries instead of just 1 and an extra charger, so those are helpful. The memory card is OK, though I prefer at least 180 speed for recording, and this one is just 160. But it *is* a big SanDisk memory card, so it’s decent for most things (just not a lot of video)

At the time I bought it, the bundle cost $10 more than the camera alone. I would have given it six stars if it were still at that price. It’s gone up since then, so consider the current price difference in making your decision. For me, the Sandisk 64GB Ultra Memory Card alone made the cost well worthwhile. Add in the spare batteries and charger, the mini tabletop tripod, HDMI cable, the Corel image software suite, and cleaning kit, and it’s a great deal.
