Testing the waters – I bought this floodlight to replace our back porch light. The LED light is bright, camera is clear when light is on and during daylight, and overall is pretty clear with night vision. The app is very user friendly, but notifications can lag and get to be excessive with bugs flying in front of it. Motion sensitivity is at 1, which is all the way down, but microSD will hold over a month’s worth of motion recording. I plan on getting a DVR with Lorex IP cameras, and from my research you can incorporate 2 wireless cameras to record to the DVR. I bought a second camera light for my mom’s driveway. Also have the Lorex doorbell cam. Overall I am happy with this camera, just wish notifications were more prompt. Will sometimes get a notification 2 or 3 hours later when on the home network.

We had a little problem with theft at our business and we got results within my first week of using it. Can zoom in on image siren and talk feature are a nice extra. SD card went to the police station. easy as 123

Nice product bad support – I love my camera. I do not however love Lorex customer service. If you have to contact them for issues, good luck. I had to jump through hoops to get anywhere with support, and still wasn’t given a solution. Returned product snd got another on my own and was able to set it up. Even if I had a lemon of a product tech support was not able to help me, would not accept return, wanted me to trouble shoot 10 different things spent over 3 hours on the phone had to run to the store to buy a voltmeter to test voltage( which wasn’t necessary). Called customer service to complain about my experience and said I wanted someone to contact me and never heard back. The camera works good though, so does the app. If I experience problems in the future I’d rather change item than call and try to get anywhere with support. My suggestion is don’t buy warranty ( because you’ll have to deal with support) if your item breaks after warranty period just buy new.

I find the Ring to be very deceptive and should be more forthcoming that even though you bought their equipment it won’t work unless you buy a yearly subscription.

Works on eave/soffit mounted locations!! – We have an older house and all 5 of the Spot/Flood lights are mounted on the Soffit under the eave. Almost all new spot/flood lights, especially nicer camera ones are designed to mount on the wall or vertical surface. Many say specifically that they will not work on the Soffit. These didn’t specifically say that so I thought I’d buy 1 to try. It worked, so we changed them all over and now have 360° camera views around the house!
