Don’t buy the cheap knockoffs! – You may have seen similar looking tripods at retail stores, but if it’s not a Joby then don’t waste your money! I’ve had other brands, and I wouldn’t trust my phone to them, let alone a several thousand dollar DSLR. With this tripod I never give it a second thought: I position it and it’s not going anywhere, period. This thing is incredibly sturdy and well built, while still being light enough to carry with minimal extra weight.

Make sure you have a lightweight camera – I love this small tripod. Its very good made of good material but I have a Sony a7R2 with the 24-70 lens and it sometimes struggles to stay still or not easily tip over no matter how I angle it. If you have a smaller camera this should be fine I really recommend it

Holding on strong! – I use this paired with my Sony A7RIII and it works like a champ. Supports the camera with no problems, and is able to grab onto wherever I want to put it. I was skeptical at first, but I have had this for about 4 months now and it works just like new!
