Problems with the camera and Amazon won’t help – Had problems with the camera when I bought it manufacturers tried to work it out with me but couldn’t they said to order another one so I did and it was $27.00 more and Amazon won’t refund me that my problem is with Amazon

Here is a review I did for the same camera but in white – I recently purchased this black version of the same camera. here is the review I did for the white version. love them both. As a retired pro CCTV consultant/contractor with 20 years experience I have really only used high-end equipment in my installs since most were in government and commercial buildings that could afford the higher priced equipment. Even when we build a new home five years ago I installed some on-hand used commercial equipment in it. However, since my time in the biz was many years ago that equipment was basically analog hardwired cameras and an older DVR. Since the home was built, I decided it was time to add more cameras so I began my search for the ideal lower cost consumer rated cameras that were now available. When we built, I did include a new ieGeek wired doorbell camera that used the CloudEdge app for control and notifications. Because I like the CloudEdge app so much I wanted to continue to buy new cameras that used that app so I could do multi screen viewing of multiple cameras. It turned out that ieGeek was one of the few companies that use that app, not sure if its their app or they just use it, but it was my primary reasons to look into ieGeek cameras. This new 2K PTZ solar camera is an upgraded version of their past products that have worked fine for me and there was no reason to search for another company. With this new camera not only do I get full HD but I also get better human detection and the ability to mask areas of view that I wish to avoid alarm triggering due to motion. So far, my testing has shown it to have great video quality in both daytime and night. Using a PIR for motion detection rather than digital pixel movement it helps solve the old problem of bugs flying close to the camera at night, attracted by the IR light, and triggering pixel movement. PIR should only be triggered by the heat of a body. When animals do the triggering, thats when AI human detection starts to prevent false alarms. The golden area you see in the attached photo is a customizable motion trigger area. If you turn on the humanoid detection function at the same time, when the camera AI intelligently identifies any suspected human beings in this area (golden area), the camera will wake up and record the motion event. Movement of unselected areas other than the golden area will not trigger the camera. In addition, I have found that the wifi range is excellent even at 100 or so feet from the router, with the signal passing thru block walls and stucco. Overall, this is a very good camera for the price and I can highly recommend it.

Great Camera! – I purchased this camera based on the reviews relating to wi-fi range. I was looking for something to work at a long range from my router. The picture attached was taken from the front of my house and the camera is located at the end of my driveway which is around 150 feet and still has a strong wifi signal. I only gave it a 3 star on motion detection because it doesn’t pick up everything that goes by it and doesn’t detect motion on the driveway all the time but again, that could be the distance from my router. I recently purchased a second camera because we are impressed with this brand which is superior to the prior wifi wire-free cameras we were using. We are planning on putting this even further away on our property so fingers crossed it will still pick up the wifi. Overall, I would recommend this camera – the software is easy to use, the intercom feature works really well – you won’t be disappointed.

Very decent camera but the app could use a little work – I bought this camera to use on a telepresence robot in the camera itself is amazing and the battery life is extremely good. The picture quality is definitely good enough to see what’s going on but I wouldn’t say it’s HD to where you can see small things in detail like numbers and letters but that being said where the picture quality might fall a little short the range definitely does not if you have a good Wi-Fi signal from your router this thing will easily go up to 1000 feet away from the router. The night vision on this camera also works extremely well you do not know but it’s active until The two little flood lights come on so you can see in color definitely a good way to scare off potential burglars. The intercom also is really good certainly loud enough for someone to hear from a good 25 feet away and it’s clear enough to where you can actually understand what the person is saying and the same goes for the microphone. The primary reason I did not give it five stars is because he app seems to be under developed and what I mean is when you’re looking at the camera through the dashboard view you can turn and pan up and down just by swiping on the image but when you enlarge the image you cannot tilt up and down unless you use the deep pad in the submenu you can still turn left and right but you can’t go up and down which I find very strange and somewhat annoying. Also I’m not the biggest fan of using a QR code on your screen to try to set up the camera if you’re outside and you’re trying to set it up it will not work because it will not be able to read the QR code you have to be in an area where there’s no glare or it’s not too bright but I imagine that they could change that with a firmware update and fix some of the bugs with the app itself. Once the app gets an update where you can control the cameras rotation and tilt up and down while in the full screen mode and they make it where you can shut up the camera without having to use the QR code I’ll give it five stars. Definitely worth the purchase if you do not want to have to do wiring And want a camera that looks nice and has good build quality.

Easy Installation and Setup – I added three of the Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor, 2K Solar security camera System 360° PTZ with Spotlight & Siren, ieGeek 2.4Ghz Outdoor Security Cameras,Color Night Vision, PIR Motion Detection, 2-Way Talk, IP65. I was impress how easy it was to install and load the app and have all three up and running. The controls were intuitive and easy to use. Motion detection worked great in default mode only recorded people and vehicles which was exactly what I needed.
