I don’t know if it actually works. – I tried using it multiple times and did not detect any infrared lights with it. But when I tested it at home I had to be super close to the diodes to actually find them. Not sure if it was damaged in shipping or it was just a bit of b.s.

Works ok – I like the alarm function – I purchased this because I stay in hotels a lot. The camera detector doesn’t work all that well – I had a hard time finding my indoor cameras at my house, you have to be careful and slowly pan around the room. The alarm works well and is a great add on feature.

Oops! – I did not know the accessories were at the bottom of the box! I pulled lightly at it but it was glued and I heard it start to tear away so I stopped pulling! I ordered another one and pulled hard out of desperation because I promised someone that I’d get this asap!

It does what it needs to do…with some practice – This gadget does work, but it does take some practice. Essentially, the light will reflect back as a bright red pinpoint off a camera lens. So if you see something like that through the viewfinder, then you’re probably looking at a camera. It is small, thus portable and the rechargeable battery life is good. Be aware that because it IS small, the viewfinder is also small. It has a built in flashlight, so you can always use it as that. Good stuff!
