Was skeptical at First but Happy After – Was not sure if this would work. I work in security and wanted to purchase less expensive units for my field staff. This was an even more compact unit than I first thought. The ability to use vibration mode is a plus when you don’t want to draw attention. Out of box, turned it on and it immediately started beeping. Went on line and one of the first things I learned was tun off your cell phone. Once I did that, I did a sweep of my office and it did detect a bug that I had in placed behind a file cabinet. Was pleasantly surprised. The camera detection is a little more hands on. Need to look through a reddish plastic viewfinder and scan your area. It’s more time consuming and I will report back once I have more time to check it out. Overall happy with the bug detector mode.

The Wi-Fi has different sensitivity levels, but it worked well when tested against my routers and home cameras. The camera detector is a red light with an optional flash, allowing for manual scanning of a room for lens glare. Little Detector Finds The Signal – First of all, our homes (or at least mine is) are bathed in WIFI signals. 6 cameras, a couple of Roku’s, laptops, phones, refrigerators and even my bed is online. That being said, though it is not easy to detect a WIFI signal, this little device is adjustable enough to tune out the noise and detect in a smaller area, zeroing in on the source. I was surprised at how easy it was to use. Don’t buy it for the flashlight feature though. Not very bright. The rest of the functions more than make up for it. If you have a need to scope out hidden devices, this is a good place to start.

Very affordable peace of mind – I bought this neat device to use over the holidays while travelling and used it this past Thanksgiving holiday week. Thankfully it didn’t report any out of the ordinary findings with my room sweep during my stay. It did find my cellphone which I was thrilled to see during a later search, having left it on the couch. I have full confidence that it does work though as I did a successful test of this at my home prior to my travel. The wifi/camera searching function worked very well, which was the main point in purchasing this for me. It successfully detected my standard wifi cameras in my home, and even my mini-spy type camera I have use for when workers are in my home. It’s pretty easy to use as the indicator lights assist and you can adjust the sensitivity from a broad to a more localized area. I also used it in a dark room and the red viewfinder and blinking light certainly helps when looking for a reflection off a camera. You have to be relatively close to the camera to notice the reflection but I think that’s pretty obvious once you have an idea where it may be located.
