Great camera, speaker and led lights concerning – We love our Hello Baby monitors! We decided when they were on sale to expand our units and add cameras so we don’t have to uninstall when we travel or when our kids go to grandparents for the day. We also decided that we’d upgrade our home unit to the 5″ display versus the 3.5″ we’ve had for years. Little did we know when we bought main units that there are multiple models that all look the same, but aren’t compatible with each other. So if you’re taking advantage of a lightening deal to add a camera or three, make sure they are the same model or else the cameras likely won’t work with the main unit. Or just buy the add on cameras that are never on lightening deals…

Great Monitor – I use this monitor to keep an eye on my mom who’s got dementia. It alerts me during the night with any noises or callouts that she may have during the late night. I keep it plugged in at night time but when I’m outside and she is sleeping I can walk around the house/backyard and still have great connectivity. Highly recommended!

Solid monitor for the price – We bought this monitor to replace a much more expensive one which we had for the first 1.5 years of our toddler’s life. This one is missing some of the more “premium” features of our other monitor, but it gets the job done and is worth the price, in my opinion. The picture quality is decent, the battery life easily lasts through a nap and bedtime (3-4 hours with room to spare), and it’s fairly easy to set up and use. Be aware, the picture is VERY zoomed in for some reason ?? You will have to mount it basically at ceiling height to get a view of the crib. Annoying, but doable as it’s just a one time thing. You will also need an extension cord because they didn’t make the cord long enough for how high you need to mount it. The remote pan and tilt function is easy to use and I can basically get a view of the whole room. Some of the interface functions could be better. For example, it’s a several step process to adjust the volume, the time is not displayed anywhere on the screen, and I can’t find an option to turn off the VOX to keep the screen on all the time. Love that it has no wifi connection, I know that may be a downside for some but we specifically wanted a monitor with no wifi capability so that there is zero chance it could be remotely accessed or hacked. Have not tried the second camera addition so I can’t speak to that.
