What the Ring should have come with, but cheap plastic – This sort of mount is what the Ring should have come with (I don’t have a shelf where I wanted to mount mine!). Cheap and easy to install, allows for a better field of view with the camera. Only thing is the plastic is kind of cheap so be careful while installing.

Good wall mount for any standard 1/4″ connector – This wall mount isn’t really needed for Ring cams as they move in almost all the same ways but it does give you a little extra space from the wall to angle the camera if needed. Just be sure to tighten the ring screw good or it will come loose and flop your camera, but it does hold tight once you do. The plastic feels a bit lightweight and cheap and worry it may crack in time with exposure to the elements. So far it has held up well though. So I you need to extend you camera out from the wall or ceiling, this will do it.

No bit size listed- it’s a 15/64 if you mount with the supplied anchors. – We ordered these mounts to use with our ring cameras. We found that the mounts that come with the ring cameras did not allow for us to achieve the exact angle we wanted. This mount fixed that for us. It allows for the camera to be further from the wall/ceiling which allows for a deeper angle due to the cameras size. Our only complaint with the mount would be the same complaint with the ring cameras themselves, they did not come with anything that said what size drill bit to use when mounting them. We use anchors often so we guessed a size smaller then needed and went 1 up from there. In the end it needed a 15/64 bit. Other then that, it’s great and we have no real complaints. We mounted from our ceiling.
