Motion detection is not great – I’m very satisfied with this product’s battery life and video quality; however, the motion detection is hit or miss. It does not always detect motion even when someone is right in front of it.

Good alternative to Blink – A few things to state about this so far. It was really easy out of the box setup. The app it requires is easy to use and helpful. subscription for cloud storage is reliable and cheap at only $2.49 a month or $20 for a year, a bit cheaper than amazons blink subscription at $3 a month for one device. ended up having to replace my blink outdoor camera with this since I no longer can get it connected to WIFI and have no once had a problem with it. only problem I had with is the screw on wall mount with it takes a little play to get the angles right and to stay in place. other than that little problem is a great product for a great price and would recommend it to anyone that wants to watch the house or apartment.

I have the motion detector turned off because it does pick up the dogs movement but other than that this is a perfect camera it’s sort of inconspicuous the battery life last for a decent time other than when it’s extremely cold outside but other than that this is a solid piece of equipment, and I will definitely be ordering more.

I only wish Geeni had come up with a solar panel to mate with this camera. I did find one that has the right fitting — It’s a different brand, but I’m thinking about trying it out. Other than that I think this is a very great camera and pairs well with my Geeni Hawks to give me an additional angle of vision around my yard. I like the Geeni app on my phone for viewing the cameras too.
