An inexpensive camera that provides features available in more expensive ones; i.e. ONVIF support – Before I start, let me say that I am very familiar with Security Cameras having owned brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Amcrest and others over the past few years. I have 3 Blueiris installations at my home, my parent’s home, and the company I work at. My preference is always PoE cameras just because wired cameras in general are more reliable and because I don’t have to run another cable to provide power.

Intrigued by this somewhat unconventional mounting, I decided to try it out. I already have several wireless cameras installed, so I am very familiar with wireless WiFi cameras. I was very pleasantly surprised. The specs on the camera indicate that it can show 2 levels of image resolution. One is called “SD” which I assume means Standard Definition. The other is “2K”. Interestingly enough, even the SD mode is quite sharp, and the 2K is Ultra sharp.
