So far, so good – I wanted to wait a little while before reviewing this to see if it held up. The camera is surprisingly good. The picture quality is excellent, the human detection works well, the night vision is good, and it has a lot of features like intercom, light, and siren. And the fact that it runs off a battery and no wires are required is terrific. The Wi-Fi seems to work well, and the battery seems to be holding up. A couple of points: the instructions and the app are not always as intuitive as you would like. There’s some sloppy translation of instructions. The software only had a couple of low ratings on the Apple App Store, so I was a little concerned. In fact, the motion detection alert suddenly stopped, so I had to reinstall the software, which means getting up to the camera to take a picture of a QR code on the side of the camera, then you point your phone at the camera and it reads another QR code on your phone. Hence the 4 star rating, although the camera itself probably rates a 5. But once it was set up again, it seems to be working fine. Make sure you close the app however because I must’ve left it open all night and the battery drains down almost empty. But I plugged a portable battery pack into it, and it was charged after a few hours. Assuming it holds up well and the software doesn’t go wonky on me, I think this is a great deal. The three days of video storage is free and is all I need, so I have not installed a memory card.

After a lot of trial and error, the camera finally rebooted and everything started to function the way it is supposed to. One thing to note is that once you set the camera up with the app, the setup voice assistance will stop working .. don’t panic, the camera is still working as intended! Just finish setting up the app to your liking and everything will work as intended.

The picture quality looks closer to 4K then cameras claiming to be 1080p and the night vision looks almost like daylight with a small LED(not sure how they pull that much light from so little). We have cats and they trigger the camera probably 10+ times a day so it’s not the best at determining human from animal but I can’t fault a low power device for this when even the best smart phones are fooled. Battery life is on course to lasting about 10-12 days with one night of on all night(I forgot to close app and it kept camera on). The one major complaint I have is the recording being limited to 30 seconds. I would have preferred it to start that 30 second timer from the time that motion ended.

So once I let the battery run down I was able to reset it and set it up correctly and it’s worked fine since then! I love that it has a ball joint so you can rotate the camera angle to view what you need it to. It has a siren on it which you can activate from the app and a flood light. Its wifi and not wired. It has 2 way audio and can be set up to Alexa. I mean it really covers everything I need it to. It also has a slot for a memory card which is so convenient. My other camera required a subscription to view the camera videos after the trial. My doorbell is the same and I hate that. So I needed something to replace the camera I had. It has a really good wide viewing range and you can set up the level of detection of what all you want it to pick up on. Really great camera with all the features you need.
