Excellent security camera – This is the 4th Feit security camera I have purchased. I needed one in the garage and boy this one is excellent. the picture/video quality is awesome. I have been happy with other security camera products from Feit. Better quality than other brands I have tried.

Order memory card – This works great but you need to buy a seperate memory card since it only alerts you when there is movement and saves that photo. Picture quality is okay, but may be our internet.

Work as marketed! – It just works: easy to install, picture quality is very good. For a non subscription camera, this is one of best you can get. One nice thing is it works with exist BNC video/power cables (for 12v power supply), which are used for analog cameras like Lorex system. So I just simply replaced my old Lorex cameras with it, no additional wiring is needed. The Feit app for this camera still has room to improve. First it has two kind of interfaces for the same camera, which is confusing to me. One interface does not have the recorded clips due to detected motions or sounds. I have to go to message center section to find the pictures first and click the videos. The second interface is much better. It is even better than the flood light camera interface. I bought three of them already and know the difference.

Zero issues. Works great! – Put this on my patio to watch the bad guys who like to jump fences and break in through the back of the house. So far, I’ve had no issues with it. Bolted it up, plugged it in and connected it to my network. It works great! The image is crystal clear and the response time to start recording is fast and so far, reliable. I threw a 32gb SD card in it to record images/videos and it works flawlessly. My only issue is the app that controls it. It sucks. They need to fire the programmer who wrote it and hire the one from Ring. Night and day on app functionality. Other than that, for $49, it’s a great security camera!

resets to initially get going – overall very happy with the 2 Feit security products I bought. A Flood and a Smart. Attracted to the use of a common SD card and not a cloud subscription. So far working well. Initial setup was the only issue to be aware of. The Flood was the first I setup and required a couple of hard resets before it would pair and operate normally. Because of that experience I knew what to expect when I did the Smart. It however took at least a half dozen hard resets before it would work normally, 2 to successfully pair and 4 or 5 to stay connected to the wifi without dropping after 10-20 seconds. Been fine since.

Very glitchy – I’ve had the cameras for a year without the fat 32 sd card installed, the motion detection is very slow and would hardly catch anything unless you stand in front of the camera and it only takes one snapshot. I just recently bought a sd card and took it to the computer store to have it formatted to fat32. I own two cameras, one camera now has two days of recording, the second camera recorded great for 12 hours, then on the beginning of the next day,(12:00am) it quit recording and got rid of the previous days recording. This did not happen on the first camera. So I went outside and walked in front of the camera and it detected my motion but did not record. When I went to the event on the app it says no recordings for today. And yesterday’s was gone. It’s a cheap camera, and it is OK, but if you want real 24 hour security this camera sucks, it is slow and full of glitches. It is not a reliable camera. My dogs are much more reliable but the dogs cost more to run, and the dogs can’t speak English so it’s hard to know if they are barking at a squirrel or an intruder, and that’s why I bought the cameras. I would not buy them again given the slow detection speed and the lack of continuous recording on one of two cameras. They are more of an irritent than a help.
