Another great amcrest product – I’ve used/deployed well over 100 amcrest cameras and have been running their first gen 4k cameras at my house for over 2 years. I replaced the one on my front yard with this one and the color accuracy alone was huge. Another big improvement was the audio. It went from barely usable to really clear. With my setup I’m not using the motion, or any of the alarm features but the tamper siren feature gave me a jump when it went off when I was installing it.

Nice clear video, hard to setup with the app – This camera is truly puts out a 4k video and nice and clear. It has a wide viewing angle and the night vision is also pretty good. It has a web interface that you can control other aspects of the camera and it allows you to add in a micro SD card for local recording storage. It is also ONVIF compatible which makes this camera compatible with almost any NVR out there without issues. The bad part of this camera is the app they want you to use. It’s pretty worthless as it doesn’t work for local live viewing, or even setting anything on the camera. My recommendation would be to skip the app and just use the web interface. It is a very powerful camera just falls short on the app.

Incredible little camera. Very easy to install. – I own two different brands of cameras on three of my properties. This is by far the most advanced fixed camera I have now. Setup was a breeze and I already have PoE from my HP switch. Very clear picture day and night and it was simple to configure. It is connected to my Amcrest NVR. No issues with freezing or rebooting.
