Home security: – Just purchased and installed the ATS600, the installation and pairing were a breeze. It has great camera quality. The ability to rotate the camera head is great, zoom not bad! Saves video while disconnected from wifi – Here’s the deal. I don’t have wifi where I wanted the camera. I wanted a solar camera I could leave in the parking lot of my marina that would automatically record and store motion events while disconnected from wifi. This camera achieves this task. I can then return to the camera, sit in my car, turn on my cellphone hotspot I set the camera up with initially, and use my iPad with the ubox app to review the footage it stored while I was away, as long as both devices are on my hotspot wifi. Success. (I tried setting the camera up on a stand alone hotspot with no internet service but that would not work the camera needed to connect to data to check firmware) HD Picture quality is not the best while video is live OR reviewed across the wifi network to the ipad. I have not verified picture quality of saved video played directly from the SD card on another device. The screenshot is of me adjusting the solar panel after setting the camera up and shutting my hotspot down. HD quality was on, it Automatically recorded me and I was able to review it right after. The app alerted me of new motion events while I was connected to my hotspot and just sitting near the camera.
